Solectria Renewables’ SMARTGRID Inverters Selected by BlueChip Energy to Power the Largest Rooftop Installation in Florida

Lawrence, MA – July 26, 2011 – Solectria Renewables, LLC, the leading U.S. PV inverter manufacturer, announced today that it has delivered four SGI 266’s (266kW SMARTGRID Inverters) to BlueChip Energy, LLC to power the 1.5 megawatt (MW) rooftop installation as part of the Rinehart Solar Farm in Lake Mary, Florida. 

The 1.5MW system is the first stage of the 10MW Rinehart Solar Farm, which will be located on the rooftop and surrounding grounds of the BlueChip Energy campus and their 318,000 square foot production facility in Lake Mary, Florida.  This PV rooftop installation will be the largest in Florida.

The SGI 266 inverters maintain the industry’s highest CEC efficiency of 97.5% with the most options available to customers. The SGI Series enhances system-wide energy and solar plant yield, facilitating high return on investment (ROI) and the low levelized cost of energy (LCOE) to the large-scale and utility-scale solar industry.  The 1.5MW rooftop installation will provide BlueChip Energy over $1 million annually in energy savings.
