This webinar will discuss topics that focus on working on inverters in an unsafe environment. This webinar will not certify you in arch flash training. You still need to take the NFPA70e training for that. It will also answer some specific questions you need to consider before servicing, including:
- Are you qualified to do the work? What does that mean?
- Are the conditions safe to work in?
- Read the posted signs to make sure you are prepared before servicing?
- Do you have the proper PPE?
- Make sure you are using lock out tag out.
- Have you read the manual?
- Do you know your main contacts for the site to call upon?
- How to test for voltage – and verify its absence?

Meet Our Presenters
Bob Bonczar is a long-time Yaskawa veteran with 38 years of service to the company and its customers. He currently works as Senior Product Training Engineer for solar inverters and variable frequency drives, including teaching factory classes and guiding eLearning development.
Bob earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology from DeVry Institute of Technology in Chicago. He also worked as part-time faculty at the College of Lake County (Illinois).

John is a long tenured sales professional with 18 years of experience in the renewable energy industry and 14 years as Regional Sales Manager at Yaskawa Solectria Solar. He earned his BA from Boston College and has built a successful career in various technical sales positions providing solar and energy solutions to many utilities, IPPs, developers and EPCs.
